My two cents

1) Canal street needs bike lanes, it’s currently a risk to bike on it in any direction

2) Canal street may need a little bit more temporary commercial parking and a lot less regular parking

3) How many times does emergency vehicle access have to be addressed before we finally understand that it will not be negatively impacted by a road diet

4) NYU busses, in my experience as an NYU student, are not redundant with MTA busses and are significantly more reliable and convenient during peak class times than MTA/subway

5) Great for St. Mary’s!

Glad to see Canal Street redesign getting talked about. Was there DOT reps at the meeting to support or was it just internal debate. I am curious to get a pulse check on the new DOT and how seriously they will push for the plan.
